Two new members appointed to Executive Board

The new organisational structure of Atel Group leads to changes in the Group's top management. Heinz Saner and Stefan Hatt are the new members of the Executive Board.

Atel Group is adopting a new organisational structure. As a result, new members have been appointed to its top management.

The previous Head of Legal Services, Heinz Saner, has been appointed as Head of the newly created Management Services functional area with effect from 1 November 2004. Heinz Saner, 47, is a qualified lawyer and notary, and has been working for Atel for more than 16 years. The new Head of the Energy Services division is the 40-year old Stefan Hatt, who will take up this position on 1 January 2005. He is moving to Atel from Alstom. Stefan Hatt qualified as an engineer with the Zurich Institute of Technology and also holds a degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen. In their new roles, Heinz Saner and Stefan Hatt will also serve as members of the Executive Board of Atel. After 10 years with Atel Group, Stefan Breu, member of the Executive Board and responsible for Power Generation and Grid, has decided to accept a new professional challenge. He will therefore leave the company at the end of the year. His successor will be appointed during the next few weeks.

Remo Pozzi will assume management responsibility for the business unit Western Europe Market. For the past four years, Pozzi, a qualified electrical engineer, headed Atel's Trading Southern Europe business unit. The new manager of the Power Generation and Trading business units of the Energy Northern/Eastern Europe division is Steve Wolf. Born in America, Steve Wolf has been with Atel for the past two years as Managing Director in Prague.
