Dr. Stefan Breu has been appointed the new manager of the Energy Generation and Grid Division of Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity (Atel). The Board of Directors has elected the 37-year old graduate machine engineer (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) and business economist (University of St. Gall) onto the Executive Board as successor to Felix Aemmer, who will retire at the end of November. Breu will take up his new post on 1 December 2001.
In his most recent function, Stefan Breu managed Atels Swiss Region Business Unit, where he was responsible for sales-oriented activities, and in particular for the development and implementation of Atels marketing strategy in the Swiss market. In his new post he will be responsible for all of Atels thermal and hydraulic power plants, as well as its entire grid infrastructure.
