Atel strengthens its industrial automation activities

Atel Installationstechnik AG, Zürich, is taking over Indumo AG in Buchs (AG) with its 50 employees effective 31 December 2005. This acquisition strengthens Atel’s industrial automation activities.

Indumo AG is being sold by AEK Elektro AG, which decided to dispose of the company in order to concentrate on its core business. Indumo Software + Engineering AG is a leader in the Swiss industrial automation sector. It provides consulting and project management services, as well as supplying, installing and maintaining a full spectrum of established control and process management systems. The AIT Group’s industrial automation offering to date has been largely concentrated in the St. Gallen area, along with Lugano and Spreitenbach. Indumo AG therefore makes an ideal addition to the Group: reinforced by two new locations in Buchs (AG) and Luterbach (SO), Atel is set to become Switzerland’s largest provider in the industrial automation sector. With its 50 employees, Indumo AG generated sales of around CHF 12 million in 2004. All jobs at the company will be retained after the takeover.
