Matthias Zwicky appointed new head of Grid business unit
The incoming head of the Grid business unit at Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity is Dr. Matthias Zwicky. The post simultaneously makes him the new General Manager of Atel Transmission Ltd. Zwicky will be starting his job in mid-March 2005. Zwicky, a 48-year-old engineer, previously worked for Atel between 1997 and 2000 as head of the Energy Engineering division. Between 2000 and 2004, he served on the Executive Board at Schaffner Holding AG in Luterbach, where he was responsible for the Test Systems division.
The vacancy at Atel Transmission Ltd. arose when Herbert Niklaus, the former business unit head, was elected to lead the Energy – Switzerland division starting on 1 January 2005.
