GAH divests its building installation engineering operation

On 21 February 2006, Heidelberg-based GAH Group sold its subsidiary company GA-tec Gebäude- und Anlagentechnik GmbH, with over 600 employees, to the Zehnacker Group of Singen, in concert with a management team from the GAH Group.

Focus on two fields of business

The sale means the GAH Group is focussing its spectrum of activity on traditional fields of business in power generation and supply, communications and industrial plant engineering. It is here that the Group has market and earnings stability, with good growth prospects. Divesting GA-tec marks the end of a concentration process in which the GAH Group also divested itself of three other companies: KEU GmbH Energie- und Umwelttechnik in Krefeld, Dr. Herfeld GmbH in Neuenrade, and Kalfrisa S.A. in Saragossa (Spain). Details of the sale price are not being disclosed. The GAH-Group is wholly owned by Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity (Atel) in Olten, Switzerland.
